座磚是砌在盛鋼桶底部，固定水口磚的耐火質磚。其外形是方形，故又稱方磚。它的作用是固定水口位置；便於拆，裝水口；澆註時支撐塞棒下端；澆完時確保塞棒沿弧面滑向水口，切斷註流。座磚材質可為黏土質、高鋁質或不燒高鋁質。
