Magnesia carbon brick is a composite material based on MgO and C, bonded with high carbon containing pitch and resin, with some metallic powder as anti-oxidants to protect the carbon, under high pressure forming and drying as final process.

鎂碳磚是以方鎂石為主要礦物組分的耐火材料製品。按照原料組成的不同，可分為：鎂碳磚用製磚鎂砂製成的鎂磚，加入少量特級礬土或工業氧化鋁的鎂鋁磚，加入一定量石墨粉的鎂碳磚，用質量較差的高矽鎂砂製成的鎂碳磚。與其他耐火磚相比，鎂製磚的耐火度較高，可達2000℃以上，有較高的荷重軟化溫度，較大的高溫機械強度，還有很好的抵抗含有氧化鐵和氧化鈣的堿性熔渣的化學侵蝕的性能。
